once again… packing.
Well… here I am again, packing my belongings into my beat up Deuter & Crumpler backpacks. I am on the move once again.
January - February: Malaysia still interning with my organization, took a quick 1 week trip to Indonesia following my leader around.
March - November: I was in Vietnam and nowhere else. Going to language school to learn Vietnamese, I loved it! I have made so many great friends and found my new home in the process. There is no greater feeling than to be exactly where God wants you to be. Each day that I am away from Vietnam I feel more and more empty. I learned so much living there already and can’t wait to get back to continue learning, growing and living.
November: Thailand. Severe cross culture shock. Good food. Busy streets. Big buildings. Visiting my brother. A really nice hotel. Meeting people who are doing awesome things. Saying goodbye to those people. Meeting more people doing awesome things. Refugee/saved human trafficked children. Border of Myanmar and Thailand. Feeling like an outlaw running all over the country visiting various people and projects. Coming to a great church meeting cool Thai’s who love Jesus. Teaching english with Candadians in a Thai school. Border of Laos and Thailand. Tanks are getting empty. Bangkok again… tired of Bangkok… miss Vietnam. Caught a cold from Air Conditioning being too cold. Watching movies with my brother. Still feeling like an outlaw with my brother, BTS, motorbike, taxi, bus, van, still moving. On the border of Myanmar and Thai again. Karan refugee village. Orphan children. Being told, “Yeah, don’t go to the river because the Government on the other side might shoot you.” Playing games, visiting, eating lunch with refugee children. Moving again. Bangkok again. Great goodbye dinner with host family in Bangkok. Great last night in Thailand with great people. Saying goodbye to my brother. Writing this blog post. Packing my belongings and living in 45 min. for Malaysia.
*My year summed up so far. Im leaving a lot out but you get the idea*
